Whilst combining Zulu inspired artwork with a modern simplistic design, I sort to transform a typed out thesis
on Zulu shields into various elegant designs. Which captured the very essence of Zulu culture in a modern way. This design project aimed to bring to life a research project. Enabling me to illustrate the research thesis.

Brief Summary of Thesis.
The focus of the study was on the significance of Zulu visual culture to the Zulu youths of Kwa Zulu Natal.
The study focused on how specifically zulu shields, which are visual culture, played a role in the past of uniting men into the Zulu military system where each regiment had a specific shield colour associated with it; and how that unity among the men can play a role in helping educate the youth about this aspect of their culture.
