Wedding Invitation Design
This was my first attempt in designing a wedding invitation and also one of my favourite projects. I had the opportunity to design something luxurious and something traditional.
The Theme
The couple was looking for something elegant for their modern wedding. The colours I was tasked to work with were Gold and white. The approach I took was to design something luxuriously simple, with a hint of colour and illustration. The wedding stationery would also include a menu design, which would follow the same look and feel.

The wedding stationery would also include a menu design, which would follow the same look and feel.
The theme for their traditional wedding would be heavily influenced by the Xhosa culture. With this theme to work with, I had the opportunity to incorporate various Xhosa visuals and colours. I took the same illustrative look and feel for the head illustration of the invitation as I did the modern wedding. The colours were influenced by the famous orange blankets of the Xhosa people.
